Our beekeeper has worked hard this past fall and winter, and now in spring to care for our five backyard hives! The bees are thriving and are very busy collecting nectar and pollen from a variety of sources, including tulip poplar, black locust, and many types of flowers. This gives our honey a unique and delicious wildflower taste! The weather has also cooperated this spring by not being too rainy, too hot, or too cold! We are planning to complete two honey harvests, one in the next week or so, and one closer to the end of June. Check back with us for information on when honey will be available at our roadside honor stand!
We will also be back at the Field Market at Wildberry Farm in Crownsville, MD for our first date of the summer on July 22, 2023, but please visit them for their opening day on June 10! The market will take place every 2nd and 4th Saturday until December.
